The Roost was a neglected and unaltered 1970’s bungalow until its new owner recently appointed A Squared to transform it into one of the most exciting and well received holiday homes on the North Norfolk coast. The principal feature is a large single-storey kitchen/garden room extension with an open vaulted roof and aluminium bi-fold doors on two elevations that provide access to new external terraces and gardens. Elsewhere, a full loft conversion provided additional bedrooms and a new timber veranda, bay window and dormer window were added to the front façade. Internally, modern bathrooms,  en-suites and a utility room were all added. In conjunction with new windows and doors, an electrical re-wire, new timber and stone floor finishes and a modern heating system the property has been turned into a highly successful holiday cottage that has proved popular with holidaymakers and exceeded the client’s hopes and expectations.
